Band Boosters

Mission Statement

The Jordan High School Band Booster Club's mission is to help advance the growth, quality, and enhancement of the Jordan High School Band Program through financial, logistical, and moral support.

Membership & Meetings

The C.E. Jordan High School Band Boosters are open to any parent of a student currently participating in one of our programs. There is a $5 fee to join the group. The Band Boosters meet on the third Monday of every month at 7pm. Our meetings in September and February are in-person in the JHS Band Room, and the rest are held virtually via Zoom.

To join the band boosters, please email our Band Booster President, Breann Bollinger, at jhsbbpresident@gmail.com.

What can I do to get involved and help support the band?

VOLUNTEER! Our Band Boosters are active throughout the year. Here’s a list of some of the things we do:
  • Assist the director in preparation for performances and events
  • Serve as a chaperone to our events (football games, competitions, concerts, MPA, parades, etc.)
  • Participate and help organize fundraisers (see a full list of our activities for the 2022-23 year here.)
  • Clean and maintain our uniforms (wash bibbers, sew buttons, etc.)
  • Assist with equipment repair and maintenance
  • Construct props for marching band

There are a lot of things you can also do from home if you are unable to commit to a lot of time. We feel like the best part of becoming involved is the long lasting friendships you will make with other band parents! Just know that you don't need to make a large commitment if you do not want to.

The following is an incomplete list of occupations or professions that would be great assets to a band program:  Accountants, Nurses, EMTs, Paramedics, Doctors, Welders, Equipment Operators, Electricians, Sound Technicians, Website Designers, Carpenters, Truck Drivers, Cooks, Metal Workers, Machinists, Painters. If you have a skill, we can probably use it!

PLEASE NOTE: All parent volunteers must complete the volunteer registration via the DPS Website BEFORE you are allowed to be around our students in any capacity. It takes up to a couple of weeks for approval so please fill out the form ASAP. Each registration is valid for 2 years. Go to www.DPSNC.net and click “volunteer” or the direct link is listed below.  https://ec.samaritan.com/recruiter/index.php?class=VolunteerRegistration&recruiterID=1343
